Today, Dr Mick Grierson is running a C++ DSP HACKATHON / Workshop to get everyone into the glorious and simple world of C++ audio with Maximilian. We will build synths, samplers, granular synths, sequencers, and get started modifying and interacting with images, video and other devices.

I’ve run this workshop lots of times – it’s not difficult. For those who have no experience, don’t worry – it will be a good introduction to C++. For those who have skills in PD or Max will find it very useful. For those who already know about this, it will be a great opportunity to make awesome noise and visuals with colleagues.

LINUX USERS : install codeblocks, download openFrameworks for linux / codeblocks
Windows Users : install codeblocks, download openFrameworks for windows / codeblocks
(If you really want to use visual studio I don’t mind but be warned the latest version of vs is not supported)
OS X users : install XCode (the most recent version for your operating system) and download openFrameworks for OS X.
